Miranda and Basket Landes played their last game before the FIBA Europe break yesterday, defeating Roche Vendee soundly at home.
With the win, BL sits in 3rd place with 23 points in the French LFB standings after 14 matchdays.
In EuroCup action, however, BL crashed out early in January after a disappointing away leg vs. Good Angels Kosice where their 14 points lead was blown in aggregate in the return leg on the road. With the loss, BL bows out of EuroCup competition in the Round of 16, which is better than they did last year; but still a disappointment overall.
Up to this point in the season, Miranda is averaging a team leading 30 minutes a game and a team high 49% from the field in combined LFB and EuroCup stats.
With the break for EuroBasket qualification on now throughout Europe, Miranda has a short break with her next game later this month on February 18th.
Lastly, don’t forget to cheer on Team Canada at the upcoming Winter Olympics from PyeongChang.
With the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang starting in less than a week, I reflect on the two Olympic games I had the honour of competing in. Although it's a different season, it's the same team: TEAM CANADA. I love being part of a community that shares the values of hard work, fair play, inclusiveness and national pride. No matter what sport or event we participate in and regardless of the time of year, we have the same vision: doing our personal best, reaching our goals and representing Canada proudly on the world stage. I'm sending all my energy, well-wishes and good vibes to those competing in PyeongChang! #WeAreTeamCanada #WeAllPlayForCanada @CanadianTire
