Off and Running in Xalapa

Canada began their run at the 2013 FIBA Americas Championships for Women today in Xalapa, Mexico by taking on Jamaica in the first game of the day.

In lead up to the game; Miranda tweeted the following this morning:

From the first whistle, Canada controlled the game, ultimately winning 75-37.  Kim Smith led all scores with 15 points.

Miranda started the game and played 20 minutes.  She shot 40% from the floor and contributed 8 points and a game high 8 rebounds.

Next up for the team is Chile tomorrow at 4:15pm local time.
