Orduspor were back in action today as they took on Mersin University away in what turned out to be game that caused a bit of a scare early on.
The team had a complete lacklustre first half, as they were unable to find their offense and trailed throughout.
Mersin played well both sides of the court as Orduspor worked to cut into their lead in the second quarter.
Going into the half, Orduspor were down by 8 points, which was the first time all season that Miranda’s team had been behind their opponent at the break.
The second half was a different story; as Orduspor began to make their comeback and slowly gained control of the match.
With approximately 3 minutes in the 3rd quarter left, Miranda scored a critical basket to cut the deficit to one point, which led to her team finally regaining the lead and never looked back.
The game ended 67-53 in Ordusopor’s favour, which increases their regular season record to 7-1.
Miranda played 36 minutes and had a game high of 26 points; shooting 12-21 (57%) from the floor and a perfect 2-2 (100%) from the line. She also contributed 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocks in her efforts today–her fourth double-double of the season.
